To better support our growing global customers, Countree Food has rolled out a customized EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) system in partnership with SPS Commerce. The system allows us to exchange key order data—like purchase orders and invoices—directly with retailers, without the need for time-consuming manual emails.
The EDI integration was initially driven by requests from several of our international retail clients. After months of preparation, our system is now alive and supports:
PO receiving, confirmation, and changes
Invoice return and tracking
According to Wang Haoqing, our Information Systems Officer, this is part of a broader push to digitize workflows and improve coordination with retail systems across markets.
As one of the first clients using this setup, Kroger is already midway through onboarding. Our Business Assistant Winnie, who works closely with Kroger, shared:
“It’s much easier for the client now. They don’t need to go back and forth with us over email—everything is clearer and faster.”
We’ve also signed with Jumbo, and expect the full system rollout to be complete in 2024. While this move primarily supports our international operations, we’re keeping the door open to domestic EDI collaboration as well.
This is more than a technical upgrade—it’s part of our ongoing commitment to make working with Countree Food easier, faster, and more transparent.
